Halloween Massacre Hunt & Mine Event
Halloween Massacre Event
A little treat (and no tricks) for Halloween night fun on CND, Tuesday, October 31, 20:00 MA to 21:30, a hunt (and mining) event in Domes 1-5, with appropriate scary metal music on offer from Psycho Al in the domes and the disco. Dress up a bit in your favorite scary armour mask perhaps for the afterparty in the disco. Who knows what can happen on Halloween, that egg in the VIP area still hasn't hatched, and of course we have the much beloved TP of Death to add to the fun
The Rules
Highest total loot wins, and all levels of players, weapons, and armours are welcome. PvP will be turned on of course, but only to be used in the final 30 minutes against any registered player with a bounty on their head. Bounties can be placed with me anytime up to the last 40 minutes of the event, recommended minimum of 50 ped. The most important rule is to have some fun while looking for that elusive HOF. Special Note: I have often thought of doing this, so now have added an additional side competition for any miners in the event. The event system won't notice any mining globals, but I can So any miners in the event, take screenies of your mining globals, with all the usual info included in your chat window, post them on this thread within 24 hours, and I will use a random number system to select two mining winners. Those mining are still eligible for the hunting prizes too.
The Prizes
First Place wins 300 ped and a Marber Bravo-Type Plasma Annihilator Second Place wins 100 ped plus a Luna Line Corona outfit (shirt and pants, male and female available depending on the winner), perfect for Halloween in orange and black
Third Place wins 75 ped and two Goth candles to decorate your spooky place
Random Prize: 50 ped shopping trip in Freyr's shops on CND
Special Side Competiton for Miners: 2 winners will be chosen, for an EnMatAmp MA-103 (L) and a OreAmp OA-103 (L)
The Mobs
Dome One: Ambulimax young along with some mature and the rare old
Dome Two: Snablesnot Male and Female (Stalkers, Prowler, Old Alpha) with the odd Young, as well as some Young Fungoids
Dome Three: Berycled, Daikiba and Snablesnot-male (young-Mature)
Dome Four: Atrox young with some Mature mixed in and the odd Old
Dome Five: Large Snablesnot-female, with some young and mature Exarosaur and Snablesnot-male
For more info on the domes please see the excellent CND dome map at http://www.realityport.com/guides/CNDMAP/
Tickets
Tickets are available in the event terminal for this set of domes for 15 ped, or from ticket sellers Mathayus or Pole (pilot) for 10 ped in advance of the event as long as supplies last.
To purchase and register tickets (register as early as you can but ideally no later than 15 minutes before event starts to be able to enter the event) from the terminal, go to the fertilizer room just West of the Control Room. You will find the terminal for Domes 1-5 on your right. Click on the blue landowner's marker screen, when the window pops up, click on the running man in the upper right corner of the box to open the event schedule window. Click (or double click) on the title of the event (on the left) to open up yet another window. Click on "register" and drag your ped card to the window to purchase a ticket, or your already purchased ticket to register. Clicking on confirm will indicate that you are indeed registered.
Special Thanks to the event sponsors: NeverDie & Freyr

I'm not 100% sure myself JD what the actual 'cut off' time is when the system won't allow a ticket to be registered, somewhere in the final 10 minutes before the event starts though. Far too many times I have seen people in a mad dash for terminals to register a ticket, some after they just went through a mad dash to obtain a discount ticket from a seller as well, only to find they waited too late and the terminal wouldn't accept the ticket. I am even guilty of it myself at least twice now for other events Considering that in some cases people fly up just for an event, missing out that way can be massively frustrating, which is why I emphasize getting the ticket and getting it registered well in advance.
TY for the ED listing too hon

Sounds like great fun
Hopefully i'll be able to make this one and get in the 'spirit' of things
As far as the ticket registration goes i've been caught more than once with late registrations and i cant emphasize enough to others that you should register well in advance 'time permitting'.
But i still think MA wouldnt lose anything from allowing late registrations (even by a few minutes) the late participants certainly wouldn't gain anything would they????
:P

Hey Lee, maybe I am blind, but I don't see a time/length listed for this event?

Very cool Lee, but unfortunately that's 2 pm on a work day for me.
Have fun!
On the topic of timing, why is MA's internal clock about 8 minutes faster than the real world? I tried to join a CND event a week ago and I still had 2 minutes on my digital clock but it was 6 after in EU. Strange.

NP! Was just curious
As Epic said...yep, this leaves us US folk out...I will be at work.
And Epic...they aren't syncing their servers with an atomic clock based system like we have so easily here in the US (the main US atomic clock is just up the road from me in Boulder).

Noticed several notes from US players on here and EF about the time problem. I feel a bit sad to hear it honestly because I did do a specific event called the Bridge aimed at US time zones since I heard that problem so often. I had said if it was a success I would do it regularly so that US players had an event to go to, but it was so poorly attended I aborted it in the first few minutes Not much more I can do really.
