Klod certainly knows well the time and energy that goes into making successful events, and we are thankful for the work you've put into the Champion's League that everyone has come to really enjoy and count on for their Sunday afternoon activity.
I agree that pilots have a great opportunity to promote events if they wish. Pole, Psycho Al, and Creature for example have all done a great job of leveraging the CND events to encourage people to take a trip to CND, and other pilots have started doing the same. Several pilots PM me often to find out what events are going on so they can promote them to customers -- this is such a great partnership for the pilots and CND. I've been encouraging more pilots to consider event ticket sales. To me it's a very natural fit. When I've promoted tickets before for events, I've almost always ended up helping the attendees track down a flight as well, so this would simplify that process. And not only could the pilots make a little profit off the ticket sales, but also gain new customers for their flight service. And since pilots travel back and forth between planet and CND, they have a larger exposure to players than those of us on only one side.
If you're considering creating a new event and need help promoting it, you might talk to some of the pilots and see if they might be interested in partnering with you to promote. Not to say it should be limited to the pilots by any means, though, as there are surely others who would appreciate an opportunity to earn some income (or free ticket for themselves) and promote events, too.
