Hi everyone please feel free to suggest ideas, draw methods, or make any other comments regarding these events here... I havent yet got an Event manager in place, so i'm gonna do my best to run it myself until I find one. Your help will be appreceated.

Note about the Screenies events.

Can the draws be done through a polling system?
Doing that though wouldnt each entry have to have a thread?

If there is a place for ppl to post for that days events, they could start a thread for their pic. Once you have received all can it be set up on one Main thread which would have a link or small example of each pic? which would then lead to the thread to vote for?

If it is done this way it may be difficult to monitor ppl voting but you could say take top 5 and pick yourself or have highest Forum members make their votes?

you may be announcing the winner about 24 hours after but after this the thread could be deleted to make way for me. so you only have 3 max SS event thread at a time?

GL on it all anyway. i'll be sure to participate.

Well as far as draw methods, the one Akoz is using in his "Win and Adjusted FAP" contest is pretty cool. He takes the Euro Millions lotto numbers and puts them through an equation...check out the post on EF.

And the thing with events are, the date and time is very important so we can plan our RL around them. Also, don't feel like you have to plan 10 events now, you are probably pretty busy anyway. I'd focus on the kickoff event, then modify as needed based on feedback from that.

Please come up with an Easy System... Without lottery numbers for now... I guess that will be fine when we have a designated event manager...

Actually as Im writing... I have an idea... Im gonna see if i Can have a random Number generator built into the site and we can use that.

I suppose you could always have an impartial third party put the names in a hat and pick it out. Maybe with a web cam so that the entrants could tell an actual raffle was held?

Would have to be wittled down to say top 5 though or it wouldnt really be a true reflection on The Best Screenie but a lottery ticket. lol

WEB CAM Numbers in a hat sounds kinda fun and low tech... I like that alot... I might even arrange a babe to pick the number when possible

What about by replying to pics posted, the pics with the most replys saying I think this should win wins simple

allthough that does mean some ppl would have to move pics from there own webspace but it would certanily be fair, or even, if the rating systems works rate the images the top ones get put into one thread and then ppl vote, or you judge either way
