Thanks Dannei allthough I really only needed the outline of the bits on the maps , I created some vector versions so if you want them give me a shout and you can have them

Well this is my attempt, Its a really big pic and I have a SWF and PNG at full quality but its about 3mb so I've tried to compress this without dropping all the quality

Thats really cool Rotten Now me being a bit of a photoshop noob (well.. very noob) how do you add the mobs in there with no outline :P

Im still very much a photoshop newb

learning every day and allways reading tutorials

*I use no feather(0) when selecting the mob*
To get the mob with no outline I open up a jpeg make a selection
first using the magnetic lasso then afterwords with the standard lasso
shift and drag allows you to add to selection and alt and drag allows you to subtract from the selection.

Then copy it or cut it, open a new document with a transparant background and paste if you leave the new document settings as default they should be the size of the image too

Then save it as either a giff or png, turn on transparancy
I use png because I like to have full alpha controlls and then just imported to flash.




*Sorry going off topic slightly here*On another topic though I had trouble getting the right number of sections for the shops lol (I now know there needs to be 50 lines each at 7.2 degrees more then the last one and then split into two to get enough secgments for 100 shops took me a while and had to break out the calc) but I am going to work on a map of the shop tomorrow for here if I can get the numbers right we might be able to get a map for the forum with Shop numbers on and who owns the shop (like seekers mobs chart)

We could have it like those maps you get in shopping centers
with a brief description of whats generally sold what do you think :monalisa:

I have just logged in at work and notice that PNG's dont display to well in IE, thats not very good atall

Well if you are reading this in IE and it is your comp get firefox a much better browser

you can get it here you wont regret it its a much better browser and supports IE browing in Tabs with a plugin

and cant wait to see more of them, there is so much creativity here I am always looking for new ideas, and these type of things help me to improve anyway.

I am looking forward to seeing Dannei's as he is the master of Photoshop manipulation .
