"Club NEVERDIE Captures Major Media Attention"
It wasn’t long after the purchase of the Entropia Universe asteroid that Club NEVERDIE captured the attention of the media. That interest has grown almost in leaps and bounds and continues to rise. This year alone, CND has been embraced by the media in a variety of ways, and we’ve witnessed its popularity in our own attendance at several media-driven events at the Club that have rivaled the likes of IRL celebrations.
I have encapsulated some of the most memorable media events thus far in 2006. This will give you an idea of what the trend has been, and how Club NEVERDIE has fast become not only the place to be, but the place to be seen … literally.

Club NEVERDIE French/German TV Fashion Show Event
Special guest, Polly “Lady” Lux, from the French/German TV channel Arte visited the asteroid with a specific mission in mind … film the first ever Club NEVERDIE fashion show, along with footage from a tour of the resort. Polly Lux was representing an Arte-produced show called "Tracks" that presents a window on the world of popculture, and was filming the event for a segment which later aired on May 4th and 9th on the Arte TV channel, as well as all of Europe through Astra satellite.
This event wasn’t comprised of just a fashion show, but of several contests in conjunction with the main event. An apartment decorating contest, a fashion show movie making contest, and a vogue photos contest allowed the community to not only display their talent, but have an opportunity to win prizes as well.

Major Media / Multi-Event Bash at Club NEVERDIE
A French film crew visited Club NEVERDIE each night to capture footage of our unique “party central” atmosphere and get a flavor for how we do it in the virtual world. The filming was for a documentary about MMORPG as new medium for online users. Filming was for a major French TV channel called
“Canal +” with the documentary to be aired at a later date, which would also include other European countries through Astra satellite.
Both nights, the club was filled with live streaming sounds provided by RaveTrax.com, and while the clubbers were movin’ and groovin’ to the tunes, they were not only showing off their fashion sense, but keen in showing off their dance steps in hopes of winning either the couples dance contest on Saturday night, or the best male and female dance contest on Sunday night.
Does it get any better than this? Sure it does!!!

Major Pre-E3 Media Bash
This was an opportunity to “impress the press” that included 300 USA press at a pre-E3 media bash in Los Angeles attended by our own club owner NEVERDIE and his lovely fiance Sheba (Cheri London). A large viewing screen connected to ND’s computer at the event allowed the press a window into our virtual “party central” environment where ND and Sheba’s avatars were the cameras that allowed many of us to show ‘em how we shake our groove thang and rock the asteroid.
Once again, our own virtual bash included a dance contest complete with live streaming sounds provided by RaveTrax.com. Contestants pulled out all the stops and went the distance for over three hours to give the 300 LA press an opportunity to witness the uniqueness of our virtual nightclub. By all reports, they said we were the best!!
It wasn’t enough for us to just have the media events this long 5 day weekend, so we threw in a couple of other contests to entice our CND visitors to stay with us longer. Dome events were created for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday the 5th, 6th, and 7th of May from 21:00 to 22:00 MA time complete with a CND apartment as a prize for the winner of each event. A special 5-day global/hof draw event was designed with an amazing IRL item as the prize … a 30GB video Apple iPod.

National USA News Network “CBS” Visits Club NEVERDIE
This event was huge, and while there was yet another dance contest involved, only a few decided that they wanted to “dress and dance silly” to win the prize. I’m guessing it’s because most wanted to look their best while being filmed by such a prestigious entity such as CBS. We all want to look good on camera, right? We scratched the dance contest for another time and partied down like never before. With each media event we become more adept at knowing our best camera angles and what fashion statements translate into Oo-La-La … especially those who wear next to nothing, cameras or no cameras.

CND Live at Miami Nightclub
Womb Productions and DAS Audio presented the Womb’s 10th Anniversary celebration at a Miami nightclub … “The Pawn Shop” … and once again, the “CND Dance Club Playmates” were able to rival the IRL nightclub with our own hot and steamy rendition of party life on the asteroid. Three large viewing screens were hung on the walls in the nightclub and connected to ND’s computer. Patrons of The Pawn Shop were able to view our virtual world nightclub and the now infamous “CND Hot Tub” with it’s own patrons feverishly dancing the night away … or wee hours of the morning for our favorite Europeans who hung in there with us like the troopers that they are.
In between the major media events, there are media events that pop up at a moment’s notice … I love the 11th hour end run … and Club NEVERDIE is visited by a host of journalists and those who wish to film our virtual environment for documentaries and magazine articles. One such visit included a Swiss journalist and a representative from the Discovery Channel filming for a documentary called “Blood, Sweat, and Code” to be aired later this year, all in the same night.
We have now become accustomed to the almost instantaneous gathering of “CND Dance Club Playmates” in an effort to provide a party environment for whomever our illustrious guests might be. We are on 24 hour alert and truly gather the troops in record time. Since a good majority of us reside at Club NEVERDIE, we’re only a teleport ride away from movin’ and groovin’ to the CND streaming sounds of pulsating music that keeps us embracing the multi-colored, multi-level environment that we call our second home … and one that holds us captive at all hours of the day and night.
We are now gearing up for yet another event that takes place on Saturday, June 10th and will be picked up by the “New Times Miami” publication. Information regarding this event can be found in this newsletter with a link to the forum thread that provides all the details.
As a result of the ever-increasing media events, more people have taken the opportunity to visit Club NEVERDIE to see just what it’s all about. Many have expressed their surprise at just how much fun we have, and the uniqueness of our virtual playground. While some visit, enjoy themselves immensely and leave, more who experience our party central environment don’t want to leave, and as a matter of fact, end up purchasing apartments and becoming not only an official resident, but a bonifide “CND Dance Club Playmate” with all the perks that come with it. What are those perks? The only way to find out is to spend some time with us at CND and live our lifestyle!
Are you here yet?
