Space Lag
Earlier this evening, MA reset the Space Resort server (with the standard 5 mins... 4 mins warnings).
I know it was ONLY the Space Resort because other soc m8s on the planet didn't receive such messages and were still logged in when I returned after the reset.
Anyway, whatever the reason for the reset, it seems to have had some rather serious implications for us, and it's not just me... many people have confirmed this.
Below is my Support Case.....

Since returning, something is obviously very wrong.
Mobs don't detect being hit for 2 or 3 seconds.
Mobs run straight past, and don't turn back to you for 2 or 3 seconds.
Weapon and FAP changes take 1 or 2 seconds to actually happen.
Gun firing misses at least 50% of the time, more closely 75% of the time.
As I am sure you can appreciate, this is pretty bad all round. It makes hunting impossible.
Thought I should let you know asap.

This was several hours ago, no response, no nothing, and I didn't want to jump the gun or panic anyone or anything, hence waiting to post this.
I can only hope MA are testing/tweaking something and this is a temporary situation.

I haven't been in the domes in a while, but let's hope this is just a temporary situation and that MA will be making the necessary adjustments as soon as possible. (*Knock, knock ... Marco Honey, you in there?*)
Plz give us any update on your support case. Thx!

No update yet.
Only side affect to mining (I hope that's all anyway) is the 2 seconds wait between pressing the key to switch OF / MF and it actually happening.
I have since discovered how to get "normal" hit rate again, but it sux.
It requires waiting until the gun has fully reloaded before clicking for the next shot... so no queuing of clicks
I must say tho, it was quite funny watching the Atrox Dominant run straight past me for 25 meters before turning, then as it returned I sidestepped and it went flying past again, and agian, and again... poor thing didn't even try to hit me once before I put it out of its' misery.

Just got off Skype with Jon. The reboot was done to solve the mob density problem. I informed him of the lag issues that I experienced and saw others at CND mention.
He probably will give MA yet another call (that's how the density problem got solved).

Well, the server needs some tuning...or whatever settings they had done were lost in the reboot. CND is UNPLAYABLE.
