OT: Need technical help w/ EF *pout*
I apologize for this being somewhat off-topic, but I need some techie help!!
On one of my computers, whenever I go to www.entropiaforum.com (and only this domain seems to be the problem) the page tries to load up and acts like it's going to, but then redirects me to Com.org - Only the best links ...
It's only doing it on one computer, and it's been that way for 2 days. I've rebooted, relogged, cleared cookies and internet files, and checked the hosts file under windows drivers. I've tried accessing EF from bookmark, direct post link, link from another site, and by typing in the address. I've had no luck resolving the issue.
Any suggestions??
Thanks in advance!

I am getting this on my non-home computer but it just says "Server unavailable."
He did put a new server in so maybe he needs to tweak it.

Thanks, guys! I got some help from Burnsey and MrProper, too (thank you!!!), but it looks like it's a DNS update issue with the ISP and I'm stuck until my ISP does a DNS refresh, which I hear can take hours to days.
The problems started when EF switched the servers over. At least it's only on one of my machines (diff ISP for home) so I still have access part of the day.
So if anyone else is having this problem, give it a little time and hopefully it will resolve itself.

I've had major issues myself getting into the EF forum ... sometimes I can get in, and sometimes I can't. It tells me "Cannot Display Page" ... and also ... "Server not found" ... BUT ... at the same time, Moonie can get in when I can't, so I don't know WHAT the problem is.

Once a site's address changes, it can take days for the for the change to be 100% complete. Every piece of equipment between you and the site server needs to update, before the transition is finished. I have been told, the technical name for this is "propagation". The change has to work it's way down the line. That explains why some can access, and others not. It also explains why you can get in, sometimes. The route between you and the site is not always the same.

Yes, there are a series of (let's call them) portals all over. Basically what happens each time you ask for a website is you send out a few packets of information probing for the quickest route to the data you want. Each time you do this, you can go through different portals, so each time your path to your data will be different. Especially if you're requesting the data from different originating systems. So whereas you may not be able to reach the server because your portals haven't updated yet, someone else on a different path may have no problem at all.
