GOAL OF THE NEWSLETTER

The primary purpose of the monthly "RealityPort Newsletter" is to keep our membership base informed as to the events taking place at CND, as well as all of the resources available thru the forum and ingame. We want our membership base to become more interactive in the forum, and share their knowledge and experiences with the rest of the membership in an effort to help all of us develop into the best virtual entity we can become. The newsletter will grow in size as we expand its content, and will be inviting others in the community to make contributions as well.

The advertising space, size, and cost of advertisements will vary going forward, and there will be much more space available to those who want to get their business known to the RealityPort membership base. Your advertisement can be a link to your business presented either at a website, or a thread in the forums.

If you are not already a member of the RealityPort forum, be sure to sign up to receive your monthly newsletter, BUT … there is also another reason to become an active member of the RealityPort forum … there will be a monthly draw from the membership for a shopping spree in the CND Mall. We want to do everything possible to support our mall shopowners. There are plenty of shops with cool things and useful things, and a shopping spree is always fun.

SO … if you are a shopowner and want to let the community know what you have available, then consider taking out the premier ad space in our launch newsletter, as well as advertising in future issues. Also, it would be advantageous for pilots to advertise to get your services known to the community for those flights to CND and the monthy shopping sprees, just in case the winner is planetside.

There are plenty of other services to be advertised as well, such as the “beauty industry” and others, so make your plans to get yourself even more known in the community. The launch edition of the newsletter has limited space for advertising, so get your reserved space now.

If you are interested in advertising in the launch edition of the newsletter, plz post in this thread. MindStar9 will contact you to set up the details and reserve your space. Please design your ad according to the above-shown size. If you need any further information, CPH will be more than happy to accommodate your request.

Space is limited for this edition, so plz get your ad in ASAP. I’m apologizing ahead of time, BUT … the ads need to be submitted before Monday … yes, I know, it’s an 11th hour end run here, but things started poppin’ with the newsletter and we are coordinating it with the event next Friday and need to publish it on Monday … sorry. However, going forward, there will be plenty of time each month for ppl to get their ads in for future issues.

Oh cool "C" ... I got your PM too when you couldn't post in the forum ... sorry 'bout that. I was in the middle of the CND event when Dannei popped in on me about it so it's a good thing I had PEAss up and running bcuz I immediately came to the forum and moved it to General Discussion.

Get your ad in as soon as possible so that I can get it to CPH who will be adding it to the Newsletter. RipTure has first position. I'm waiting to hear back from Freyr and a couple of others as well, so ad placement will be determined by next poster in this thread, or next PM I get.

Thx Hoots ... it's fun putting it together ... besides, I get to listen to CPH's sweet voice in my ear for hours while we're working.

We're starting off with baby steps to get it going, but it will be expanding to include a variety of interesting things. We initially were just going to do a mass PM mailing to the membership base with some cool stuff in order to get ppl to become more active at the forum, but then decided to do a nice html formatted thingie to make it more professional and more fun. It will now be going out to everyone's email address, so if anyone has the "'Receive Email from Administrators'" disabled, they'll need to go to "Edit Options" in the User CP area and check the box in order to receive the newsletter.

We wanted to do something special for the community, not only to get them more involved, but also to say thx for the continued support that we get. That's why we're going to have the monthly membership draw as well, and the details will be revealed in the newsletter.

CND was slow moving after the launch, but with any venture, it takes time to nurture and move toward that vision, which we are certainly doing. There are those who will continue to be anti-CND, but for those who are loyal and dedicated community members, we fully recognize your presence and efforts toward helping to make CND a success.

As you all know, nothing is perfect, and there are only certain things that we have any control over, so we do the best we can with what we have and hope for something better with each VU, but hanging in here with each other is key, and we want to continue to give back to the community in as many ways as possible.

CND is on course toward becoming a total entertainment venue ... and ND will tell you that we are just at the beginning of what's to come ... and what's to come is going to be rather exciting. This is truly a pioneering effort on his part to have the first and most unique nightclub in the virtual universe, and we're not just players along for the ride, we have an opportunity to get on the bandwagon and make our own contributions in this pioneering effort.

So I say to all of you to really stay tuned, bcuz this is all "foreplay" if you will, and we're going the distance with this playtime. If you think you're having fun now ... you ain't seen nothin' yet!!
