Hmm something very serius has happend in the country i live(Sweden). Some may look at this as just a hit against pirates(ppl who download ileagal, mp3, movies etc). This I do not care much about and I dont want to focus on this matter at all and anyone replying with that in mind schould consider what this acctually means before since well that doesnt have anything to do with what i want to say.

What has happend here with this is that a foriegn country has contacted Swedish goverment with a demand that this matter is taken care of. The country has acted on behalf of Hollywoods organisation(of intrest?) MPAA.The Swedish court and police has to this matter given the response that there are no ileagal activitys to strike against in this matter so nothing can or will be done. (according to Swedish public television, probably the most trusted source of info in Sweden.)

The homepage we are talking about is nr 21 most visited site in Sweden and nr 312 most visited site in USA.

The next step from the Swedish minsters sercretary of justice department is a phone call ordering the police to act in this matter and raid the place wich was pubic known and also leagally run. The police also did that with according to svt 50 polices and took servers and other related materials from the place.(according to Swedish public television)

I dont know how other see this matter but in Sweden ministers have no right to order things like this, not even to suggest. The minister who is connected to this matter is also facing a possible hmm, report to swedish justice department^^.

As I see it this is a not a way for a country who is called a democracy to handle a matter like this. Its acctually a discrace to see this happen, if law isnt working equally for all then; he well then nothing stops them to acctually just bark in and take out all servers from Järntorget(u know where I mean) and close it down for anything that suits them. Perhaps it doesnt sound like a reasonable comparision but it is. Law is the law, here at least and Im happy about it.

Sweden has always been a haven for pirate websites and illegal downloading. I've even considered hiring a Sweden webhosting company for some ideas of mine. The reason it's so untouchable is because Sweden doesn't (didn't) care about other's laws and bullshit.

Looks like the MPAA (A strictly USA accepted association. Until now, Sweden hasn't given a crap how much the MPAA bitched) is growing into a monster that assumes it can push any country around. It's complete bullshit.

In norway you are allowed to download for personal use for 24hours, and you are allowed to shared it with close family members (max 16, stated by law), and those 16 are allowed to share it with 16 of their closest family members
