Exactly Epic, that is why we need a formal list of who is already a member so we can get this thing rolling. Also, we need a formal application process and we need to set some general rules and guidelines.

I am not trying to be rude or harsh to anyone, but we really need to stop talking about it and start doing it. We have some priorities we need to set and this is what I believe they are:

1) We need to establish who is officially a member already
2) A formal application for membership

After this is completed:

3) CPH or Azi or whoever needs to make the thread accessible to members only.
4) When above is completed, a poll for a vote on leadership
5) Establish rules and guidelines
6) Establish benefits and costs

Once this is all done, then we can all figure out where to go next but we need to get these things done first.

By the way, I just thought about what I said and I wasn't accusing anyone of anything nor was I trying to offend anyone. I have just noticed a trend in forum that people talk the talk but don't walk the walk. Someone brings up a wonderful idea, everyone says how great it is, and then suddenly, it vanishes as quick as it appears.

I have been told I am impatient but with things like this I like to start it quick while its hot so everyone's interest and innovation is at its peak.

No problem Rob. I think what you are observing is due to the fact that people will choose fun over responsibility. So even though they might read a good idea on a forum and log on with the intention of doing some work and meeting and organizing, they end up just running somewhere and blasting some mobs. It's no indictment of your ideas.

Don't get me wrong. I love having fun too. I go hunt whenever I have time to. When I am poor or bored, I like to work on projects such as this or at least contribute some ideas. But we actually do need to organize CNSA and once that's done wqe can go back to playing again

I like Robs idea - my vote is for getting organised quickly - but this needs co-operation from Aziphirael and ND. Can ND arrange for this part of the forum to be open only to CNSA members?

In the interim I agree with Sonja - the reduction in number of items that you can hold in the shopwindow is a key problem for a number of us.

So given the current state of play - how do we approach this issue? Who do we lobby? Will ND or Aziphirael pass on our concerns to MA and get us a response?

Well looks like the first thing that needs to be actioned is a private forum. There is one at the moment so I'll need to get CPH to add CNSA members to it, giving us a start.

Leadership is obviously the critical aspect here based on all comments. Thanks to peeps who've PMed about their thoughts and also what people have said here.

And then obviously tangible benefits of being part of CNSA.

As a potential future member I would just like to voice my opinion on the leadership issue being discussed.

I see the president of this sort of Association as being more like a figurehead. Here are the main traits I beleive they should possess:

1.) Well known and respected throughout the ENTIRE community.
2.) A direct line of communication and working relationship with MindArk, NEVERDIE and all of the other discision makers and powers that exist.
3.) The business knowledge to provide leadership and opinions where needed.

I beleive Azi is the best and only qualified cantidate in the all of Project Entropia.

I do not beleive he is needed to set everything up and make all of the nitty gritty decisions. That is not an association presidents job.

The association can be a great thing, if you have a voice. Without Azi heading things up, I don't see what rules and ideas will mean in the long term.

To the veteran player, Azi ads a ton of credibility to this project.

Just my opinion...

I don't know how people are interpreting this thread, but it was not meant to say Azi is not worthy of being the President. That wasn't stated anywhere in this thread. I believe Stoff started this whole thread off by stating we needed to get the ball rolling on the concept of the CNSA. It came to an abrupt standstill for a bit.

You are right about the qualities the President should possess. However, I seriously doubt MA listens to anyone but themselves. However, it would be nice to believe that they will listen to us in some way. And, Buzzo, you are correct in stating that Azi does possess all these qualities.

I think what is being stated is the need for some back-up for Azi since he has a lot of things on his plate. We have not asked anyone to make any nitty gritty decisions either. We are merely stating a few things that should happen and waiting for everyone elses response. However, we do need Azi to do stuff that he has the power to do, like start a members only thread and other such things that we can only talk about but he can implement.

Azi, please don't think any of us are trying to take you out of power or suggest anything else.

With all due respect, you are mistaken. They do listen and listen very closely. I know this for a fact.

I am not interpreting this thread in one way or another. I just wanted to get my thoughts out there.

What KB said ... and btw, I like your opinions.

I think collectively, given the right structure, we can make this work with Az at the helm. Yes, he has other commitments, but as someone who is highly respected and connected within the community, not to mention his business acumen, it makes sense to me that he would continue in his current capacity as CNSA Leader.

As one who recently acquired a shop, I have a vision for what I'd like to do as well, so I feel it's critical that we have a good balance between leadership and CNSA membership contributions to help facilitate our needs.

If there were one other person I would consider to be second-in-command, it would be Epic. His sound and constructive input is of great value and benefit, and his frequent presence makes him almost immediately approachable. Of course it would depend on his other commitments as well, but he would have my vote straight out.

I am putting together my app to present to Az for membership in this exclusive organization, and I'm sure that CPH will be able to handle the structure of the subforum for membership use only.

The input here has been tremendously helpful to me as a new shop owner, so I thank all of you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I have no doubt that this will be a successful venture, and I know that ND is onboard with doing whatever he can do as well to make this happen. As soon as I become more schooled in the ways of a shop owner, I'm sure that my contributions will have more depth as well.

Happy selling to everyone!
