There are no shops in auction and no plans to add them for the moment. Asking price for the shops is now 20k... I'm really only looking for serious shop owners, also planning on to bring in Rl products eventually. When the next bunch sell Price will go up again..
Im keeping Resellers out of the Equation largely.

Once again, thank you Neverdie for your continued support. I hope to be able to contact these people at some time to be able to establish a more formal relationship and have them help out in this wonderful communtiy of ours.

Hello, hello.

Neverdie gave me a poke on email, so thought I would do a quick reply. I'm in a country where the internet bandwidth is probably less then what we have broadband wise in our homes.

First off I have to apologise for my absence and lack of leadership. Its been difficult juggling things off late, Real Life took an odd turn when I resigned from my current job and have had to look for a new opportunity. At the same time, the company I was working for has been trying to get the most out of me before I leave, hence a lot of business travel of late. The Entropian magazine has also taken a lot of my time and probably will continue to do so before

Anyhow, its been great to see ideas and thoughts being presented here. I like Robs and Rippers emails about ideas, which I think provides valid points and thoughts of taking the CNSA further. The CNSA was created to try and create successful shops and too break the auction monopoly (As I personally think having an economy that relies on an auction as its base is fundamentally flawed.)

Based on the ideas here, I think there are several ways forward:

1) Elect a new leader or representative.
2) Elect a co-consul or vice-president.
3) Create a real Business Association where everybody has a say with a secretary general or spokesperson to relay ideas and decisions to Neverdie.

Let me know your thoughts. I don't have much of an ego in all of this, CNSA needs to be bigger then the sum of its parts and not revolve around a specific leader or personality.

First of all I must underline that I have nothing against Azi, nor did I mean any disrespect. By reading what I wrote now, Irealize that it might have sounded a bit rude. I apologize if I gave that impression.

However, I still mean that there is a need for leadership, and if CNSA is strong enough we will probably influence the trading environment both in game and towards Neverdie and MindArk.

I started this thread to spark a discussion. Glad I succeeded.

We all have IRL obligations, and even though I'm addicted to PE -IRL comes first. With all the resourceful people on this forum and on CND I am convinced that it would easier if we combine our efforts to provide service to the community and our guests through our shops.

Azi started off with screening the people who wanted to join the CNSA. This screening was a very good idea, and obviously the purpose was to make sure that the shops compliment each other. At the moment we're not quite there yet, but if we get the CNSA up and running it would be much easier to provide a full range of shops to the community.

I propose that we:

1. Formalize the organizations leadership (as mentioned by others)
2. Make the CNSA part of this forum available only to CNSA members

And then we can take it from there.

I just wrote a long response ...then got timed out .

In short yep agree with ND and Stoffer..lets use this forum as intended and lets close off this section just to CNSA members.

I couldn't agree more with Soffer's post and liked Rob's ideas.

IMO we have some real issues which need to be addressed and raised formally with MA now. I would like Aziphirael to come in with some responses, solutions and ways forward. However we take this forward in the furture Aziphirael is leading this now. The points that people have raised have been put in a measured and respectful way.

As the resident CND demi-god, perhaps, ND (if we ask him nicely) may be willing to raise our issues with the gods in Gothenburg?

Well, I'm not sure this is a good solution because Neverdie may be torn in some issues. What's good for CND, and what's good CNSA isn't always the same.
Anyway, if someone else is the leader or spokesperson we will have 2 strong voices in the cases where CND/Neverdie and CNSA has the same opinion...

Besides, maybe Neverdie has enough on his plate? Not up to me to decide, of course.

As soon as the CNSA section is closed to the public we can hold a campaign and a vote for key positions within the organisation.

My 3.5 pec

Ok, well, now that everyone has formally agreed for a ranking structure within the organization, we need to figure out who the members of the organization already are. From my understanding, Epic, Ripper, Stoffer, Azi and myself are the only members of the organization. I haven't heard of any other shopowners being members but maybe Azi or someone could post a list of the members already accepted so they no longer need to re-apply.

The second thing we need to do is establish a formal application for admission. This application should be available to the public and not locked out if we decide to have a CNSA only thread. That being said I think this could be the general application format:

Name:
Society (if applicable):
Shop Name:
Shop Location:
Shop Thread or website: (A must so we can view what their shop is all about and so others can do the same.)
Shop's Product Line:
Overview of the general business plan for the shop: (In this section, they can just give a quick summary of what their shop is about and where they plan on taking it)

If an applicant decides to fill out this kind of application, it shows that they have maturity and dedication. Otherwsie, if they don't feel the need to fill out something like this, then they won't contribute much to the organization and are mmost likely just trying to leech off of the benefits that we eventually establish. Anyway, let me know what you all think about the application and then we can make a new thread just for the application.

Rob

about CNSA and changed Display Items number

Hi all !

last days I was a bit sick so that I was not able to be online most time.

But, hell oki I´m back now and I think there are some great sugestions to make CNSA best as possible.

I myself haven`t seen Azipharel for longer time too, but next to CND there is Real Life and business too, so I am not angry about Az that he wasn`t able to stay online. I myself have a family wich has to be primary important.

The idea about weekly meetings and using of a own Forum Part only for CNSA members is a great thing.

We all know that (like I wrote in my Thread about PE-Economy) its not easy to keep a shop running as long as people don`t realize the additional costs we have to pay to offer a large and various collection of stuff.

On other side you have some people flaming against CND because of prices and maybe because of their view about the whole CND -project.
Insane auction prices and dumping make business more difficult, so we need to find a way to make it more easier for everyone of us to keep his/her shop running and maybe the chance to make bit lower offers on our market but for this we need to find a way to buy cheaper.

A big problem I myself have to talk about is the changed number of Items in Display Areas.
Before last VU it was possible to present a large and various lovely decorated amount of stuff.
Now its only 25 Items per Display Area and the Entrances and corridors count inclusive as "Display Area" so I had to re-decorate my shop and far as I can say I dont like it

oki, maybe its because of bandwith, or to prevent us from this Item-Price-Bug we had going arround.... but hey I myself liked it more that way it was possible to decorate before VU then now after VU.
My shop is looking a bit "empty" because of this lower Display Items-Number.....

Til now I see some CNSA members who still have "overloaded" their Item Number in Display Area and they say there are no problems to handle it. Its same like before, but Im not sure if overloaded Display Areas are save from Bugs in future....

I talked to ND about this Item Number changes and he says he will check it out later, but I would be interested in other CNSA members opinions. So would be great what you others think about

I´m looking forward to see CNSA becomming a more powerfull and strong community

yours
Sonne

Nice comments everyone. Thanks for commenting Az...regarding the future direction I still hope you can act as the leader or advisor of the association because of your vast experience.

Stoffer you make a great point about the conflict of interest between the association and CND, but the more organized and polished the Mall is, the more people will be attracted to CND. And the more taxes for ND.
Let's both profit off of this relationship.

One potential problem I see is that for whatever reason, some of the owners who have a shop (or two shops) seem like they don't really care about this forum or this organization. So maybe there could be some benefit for being active on this forum and caring about the CNSA.

My last thought is that we should keep PE fun and we all have enough work to do on our shops without weekly meetings and lots of administrative chores. We need a light, agile association where we can discuss things on this forum in private and take votes and stuff but we can't let this consume too much time.
