CNSA - where is it heading?
Well folks, I was just reading the post "CNSA Leadership", and the last post in that thread is 2 months old today...
Nothing has happened since then. Nothing. I am not impressed.
I think most of us agree that changes need to be made. In my frustration I even put my shop in the auction! After speaking with people, NEVERDIE in particular, I decided to pull it and have another go at running the shop. There is tons of potential, but we need to have a running dialogue with MindArk. For example adding the option to sell "sets" from the shops. Full armors, complete mining gear, weapons with amps and sights ++++++ That's just one thing we need.
Now, I nominate myself as a candidate to lead the CNSA. I ask that any other person wanting to lead the CNSA say so in this thread, and then we have a vote.
Deadline for nominating yourself is Sunday 4/6-2006.
Please, do not nominate other people as we do not know if they are interested and willing to lead the organisation.
Stoffer
The Nominees are:
Stoffer
Ripper

So please let us know if there is anything we can do!!!!

I don't expect MindArk to make changes to EU based on suggestions from our organization.
They are very busy and even major investors like Deathifier and Neverdie don't get to tell them what to do.

Ok Guys, Time to Start Over.
I assumed that Az would have time for this when we started, but it seems not.
So lets Just start over.
In my mind reatil in EU still leaves a lot to be desired. It would be great if we can create a bustling retail envorment at CND...
It'd still gonna take time... But we definately have a growing community up here....
there may only be a few things at this stage that can be done to improve things for the retailers. Lets try to figure out what they are

Probably a start would be to get everyone invloved and not just the shopowners. The problem with shops in general is the auction. MA has monopolized the shopping by having the auction. Everyone sells their stuff to auction because it is easier.
So, for a shop to become successful, they have to be able to offer good items to the public at prices better than the auction. OR, the auction must have less choices and the shops more. If MA were to eventually fade out the auction system, the shopowners would do very very well.
However, I seriously doubt that MA would do such a thing. SO, the shopowners MUST make alliances, with themselves and with the hunters and miners and crafters. For instance, I know that Epic likes to sell high end equipment. SO, whenever I loot something of value, I sell to him at PEAuction rates and he sells above those rates cause everyone knows PEAuction doesn't reflect what people usually buy at.
Now, let's tie this into another example. If Epic were to make an agreement with Stoffer, for instance, then Epic could agree to sell only high end stuff and Stoffer low end stuff. Sotffer would cater more to the new to mid players and Epic would cater to the mid to high level players. Stoffer and Epic would then enter into an agreement with the supplier, me for instance, and I would supply Stoffer with all the usual newbie and low mid player stuff and I would supply Epic with all the high end stuff. These two shopkeepers can also get their soc member and friends to do the same thing. If you get enough shopowners to enter into agreements with suppliers, the auction would eventually become worthless since all the good stuff would be found in the shops. It would take a while to come to this point, however, if everyone could work together, it would eventually happen.
I think Stoffer's idea about selling stuff in sets in shops would be great.
I also agree that it is very hard to get MA's attention if it is not in their best interest. I mean, seriously, MA is a business and if it is not profitable, they are more than likely not going to implement it. It's just business.
Anyway, that is a little of mytwopecs. I will not get into it any further. I hope this creates some discussion among the shopowners to work with each other.

im sure MA will eventualy add better features, but lets not make that the thrust of this thread, because those things are out of our control. We can lobby for better tools, but they will come when they come.
one thing to think about is What is their a Demand for at CND
off the top of my Head
Mining Amps
Mining Equipment
Clubber Clothes
Materials for crafting mining Equip Amps
materials for crafting clubber gear
Furniture
.........................
Which are the succesful Shops??
-------
Success is very much going to be down to the tenacity of the individual business owners.

Stoffer has my vote for CNSA leadership and in someway has also shown his abilitiy to lead in creating this thread.
In terms of the shops atm we have sold a few things for the higher end players in ours such as boar etc and i think a bit of MF too.
The sets idea would be great in the long run because of the potential for offers - such as buy a gun and an amp and get a laser free ha ha along with the full sets of armour too.
As soon as everything is sorted aout at my end i will help all i can for the CNSA and Ripper will be sure to do the same thing.

I sure will :P
I think we had started a thread before about putting forward our credentials etc and trying to assign possitions to each member? would that still be the case?
I know from talking to Stoffer in the past that his vision and desire to make something of CNSA is a great one and i would be happy if he were the leader. I will of course offer my services whether it be as leader or one of the aides as suggested before and hopefully with a few active people kickin it all up we may be able to enhance the desirability of becoming a member of CNSA and to make CND THE place to shop in EU
heres the link to the bio thread about other members http://www.realityport.com/forum/showthread.php?t=841
Lets get this all started and once a leader is nominated kick it up a gear and improve all that is CNSA.
Maybe Stoffer.... you could update the initial post here to show who the nominees are? Also is this in the private area or should it be?
Also JD thnx for the kind offer It would be gr8 to have some outside aid to the CNSA especially that of PEdir
