LOL ... ok, there have been several ppl ingame and forums asking who the mystery guest was, so I guess it's time that I give up the details ...
In the 11th hour ingame (meaning ... close to event time), I was having a wonderful PM chat with this particular person and discovered that they hadn't been to CND yet. SO ... promoter and good will ambassador that I am for CND, I got this brilliant idea to personally invite this person as my special guest, and show them the asteroid in MS9 style.
I checked with ND, who also thought it was a great idea, and totally welcomed the possibility of this person being an honored guest.
I scrambled to make shuttle arrangements and work this person into my already exploding event time-frame bcuz it would have been SO worth it to introduce this person to a new dimension of the virtual environment experience, even though it wasn't guaranteed that this person would be able to make it due to potential IRL commitments.
As it turns out, this person was unable to keep the tentative commitment to the special invite, but has graciously accepted to make it happen when time demands are less of a factor IRL, so we are still looking forward to this new experience taking place for this person hopefully in the near future.
I played the mystery card to add a little more flavor into the mix, and to keep everyone guessing as to whom they thought it might be ... the community is so vast you know, BUT ...
There's one person in the EF forum community who has given much of himself with respect to providing us with a place to have a voice ... and has done a wonderful job in doing so, despite the variance in opinions.
Yes, it's none other than Mr. "MindBuster" himself ... and on behalf of CND, his first trip to the asteroid will be a special one. I'm more than certain that RipTure Travel will host the space flight and provide one of their incredibly entertaining inflight experiences that always makes flying with them an absolute hoot.
So MB (my other Boss), when your schedule permits, let me know and I'll make all the arrangements. And as a gift from the resident PE/CND Picture StoryTeller, I will document this event in PST format to share with the rest of the community.
There's value in promoting good relations between various segments of our virtual world environment. One only need take notice of ppl like Deathifier who consistently, and in positive ways, does his part to bring the community together to enhance our virtual experience, so there's no reason why it can't happen for CND as well. And btw ... Mr. Deathifier attended the TV event in support of our efforts, so thank you "D" for being a part of this special moment ... and thx to Ms. Lykke for twisting your arm so eloquently.
