Grading's Diary - The Adventure of a Lost Soul

"Hey wow a notebook. Whoever Thought Corn's looted paper. I might as well use it - it has no value"

Dear Calypso Diary-

I was desperately hunting Cornundacaudas and Combibo's today when I looted you. After four hard months of hunting, mining, sweating and dieing I found you. Something better then the odd pec and hides. I might as well fill in some of my history so I don't forget it forever from all those darn Revive's. I landed on Calypso at the very beginning of 2006. When I don't remember exactly it's pretty fuzzy but never-the-less I am here. Since I can't get any PED's from my earth bank accounts I decided I might aswell sweat and try and get some TP's. I lived around Billy's Spaceship Afterworld for awhile because Camp Pheonix was really crowded and Billy's seemed more like a home. It was there that I found my amazing mentor whose name I will leave out unless he wants to be added. He got me many of the tp's, took me on my first hunts to help me get started with a little bit of PED, and overall was nice and helpful. Eventually I was introduced to his society Miners of the Mountains which some of you are probably familiar with. It's been a roller coaster ever since and even though I still haven't gotten a solo global (or even team one for that matter) I have received a few good loots that have really kept my spirits up. I won't go into details but if enough people ask me to I may add a list next entry. Recently, unfortunately, I have been a downhill spiral starting with a hunt that I only received about 3% of what I put into it back.

Anyway enough about my history. Today I went out sweating while reading a new book. Multitasking is a lot easier with hot keys. As I started off my first attempt my loot window popped open and I thought to myself "how lucky". Then the same thing happened for the next and the next. After my third consecutive attempt the Snable was dry and I killed it in a couple opalo shots. Guess what I got from it.... Nothing. So I continued sweating and got a bunch more successes and eventually I had enough ped for about 3 PED of ammo. So I sold it at PA and went hunting Corns and Combibo's north of Medusa. One of my favourite spots. Unfortunately today it was not producing very well at all. Oh well I finished off my small ammount of ammo and at the end I came up with about half of my ammo and decay cost. I got some good skill's at least. I only wish I could get a global so I could got up and vist CND. Oh well the time will come.

Dear Calypso Diary-

Today was a rather good day for me. I sold all my built up hides and sweat to one of my society's resident crafter/tailors (again no names) to get my self out of a 1 digit PED Card and then sweated my pants off. Again I got a quite a bit in a short and spent that on some ammo and a couple probes. I shot at some Daikiba's as I didn't feel like using my 103 amp today and most of them ended up as little to no loot. Then I got 3 perception from one mob and thought to myself "Hmmmm the theory may most likely be false but what the heck" and I dropped a probe on the spot. The finder popped and and it showed I got something. As I looked I saw unknown, unknown and I thought to myself that this may be my lucky day. As I reached the spot I received the claim... Tiny Oil.... typical. I drilled it up at least thanful for something and continued on my way. Then after a few more no loots and my last probe I got the best loot of the hunt.... 1.12 PED . Whoopie.... well better then a no loot so I took it and came close to breaking even. Oh well the hunt had mostly been for skills anyway. So I hope to get to CND soon and I believe it may be in the near future .

Quick Update, Bigger one of full weekends events to come tonight.

Dear Calypso Diary-

Finally made it up to Club Neverdie Courtesy of our favorite event planner and the great pilot Creature. Checked out the control room but then had to log off. When I came back on there was a party going on with everyone dancing in a circle. I just had to join in. When it ended Mindstar9 and Blood Moon took me on a tour of CND. One of the stops was their apartment. We had a short pre-event party there with other people including; cat, Psycho Al, Slick, Samantha, and a few others. Sorry if I missed you it was all a little fuzzy and for some reason not all of my pictures saved. I must remember to write down everyone that was there. Anyway here are some pictures of the parties

Just as we were in MS9's apartment the big ATH happened. Go figure .

Edited to add: Apparently the resizing didn't work gonna try this again. There I think link works a lot better . Thank you Sir Odd for the idea.

Yesterday (well early Today) night was the big media event and dance at CND. I was one of the first to register as soon as I made sure my soccer game (going to use soccer instead of football so some people don't get confused) finished before the event started. Unfortunately the game ran a little bit long but I got lucky that the event didn't start right on time and that I was able to get into the VIP section in time for the contest to start. This was the first dance contest that I participated in so I didn't expect to win but I had fun anyway. It was great running back and forth between the computer and the G4TV coverage of E3 but unfortunately if PE was shown I missed it. Anyway good job to all the winners and thank you for the fun everyone especially MS9 who as always organized a great event and cleared the platform really quickly with that whip of hers.

Dear Calypso Diary-

Today I didn't do much but explore and sweat. I checked out some of the corridors and some of the "scarier" domes. Lets just say the Daspletor took me out before I could take any good pictures. I did get one weird one looking up in one of the corridors. Anyway thats all for today

I have been having some internet problems lately so I haven't been able to get on long enough to post or go on PE. Using my friends computer to read posts whenever I can and I hope to be back soon. I miss everyone.

Dear Calypso Diary-

I logged on to EU today to check the time for MiH (I am really bad at converting the times) and noticed a lot of people where on. I chatted with some of my soc mates and some people in the control room briefly before heading out because I didn't want to strain my dieing internet service. I ended up checking my email very briefly after I logged off and right as I finished my last email my connection went down grrrrrrr..... So I tryed in vain for the the next half an hour to get the internet working but it didn't work out. I decided to play some offline games until half an hour before the contest so I wouldn't strain the internet but it wasn't until almost an hour into MiH that my connection started working again. I got on and unfortunately missed being a contestant but at least I was able to watch for an hour. Then everything started getting really laggy and I could tell that my connection was about to go down again so I said bye quickly, logged out and just as the screen went down so did my connection. I got back online later to find out Mindstar, Moonie, Moonear and Asti had gone planetside hunting and a bunch of people were having an afterparty at Psycho Al's apartment. So I headed over and had a great time with everyone but unfortunately I forgot to open PEAss so I couldn't take a lot of pictures. I can tell you Fliss was doing he usual air dancing act ;P and the dancefloor was awsome. Thanks everyone for making my limited time on enjoyable.

Dear Calypso Diary-

My internet was working for more then a few minutes so I decided to try and see if I could get onto EU and see what changed in the VU. It took a little while to get on but eventually I did. Somehow it didn't really seem like much had changed. After catching up with a few of my soc-mates I hopped into dome 5 with some probes and ammo. It seems praying to Lootius didn't help me very much as I only recieved about a 1 PED back of loot from my 6 PED ammo and nothing at all from 4 PED of probes and bombs. I am beginning to run very low on PED hopefully I will get a big loot soon or I may be stuck sweating for awhile and waiting for a buyer.

Dear Calypso Diary-

It has been so long since I have wrote to you but I have been very busy. I decided to do a little bit of mining today and seeing as Sir Odd always raves about Dome 1 being the best I headed there. Right away just a few seconds away from the teleporter I dropped a probe and for the first time ever, after almost 25 PED wasted I got my first Club Neverdie Hit. It was unfortunately only a modest melchi but it is still the second best hit I have gotten ever. So if anyone is looking for Melchi, or any of the stuff I brought up with me (Alicenies, some wood, hides, wool, and a few other things) contact me. Next time I get a chance I will price them and post it up.

Dear Calypso Diary-

I got my second mining hit today. It was only a small oil which although better then nothing doesn't help much with my money crisis. I will have to do some emergency sweating soon. Hope Lootius helps me out here. Oh well thats the nature of the game.
