ToolMan is on a distinguished road
Fiction fiction; Introduction.

Ever since I was introduced to Zychion Citizens (about 15 months ago), I was eager to learn the history of our people: where they came from, why they came, and what forces devastated the landscape surrounding our once beautiful city. It was not long after joining that I bent myself to the work, with “Matt Kharak Skinner” and “Nemisis Xersex Gheladon,” elder leader and retired councilor for ZC, respectively. Their insight into our history was astonishing. The clarity and certainty of which they spoke of it, the details that only people who have lived and seen and experienced can provide, the knowledge that was once past but is now nearly lost.

They are both of them gone now, and many of the memories that were passed to me are now only held within me. There are very few ZC’s left that are fully aware of all the details of their own culture, the likes of which I posses, and such a glorious and honorable past such as theirs should not go untold. So I will be telling the tale, through the chronicles of “Fiction fiction.”

Yet our story, “Fiction fiction,” is not a mere history of Zychion, Calypso’s “Zion” or “Promised Land.” It’s a historical account for us all. An account of our bravery and our failures, our honor as well as our deceit, our loves and our wars. It tells more of a story than a simple account of “Hell-Night,” the final battle that decimated the city of Zychion and inevitably saved the whole planet from destruction, but gives an accurate account of the events leading up to that night, tells the forgotten tales for the soldiers that were in the trenches who had fought so bravely for our freedoms, and continues our saga to show how we survived, persevered, and inevitably triumphed over our adversaries. It speaks of our past and the pain we suffered, it speaks of our present and how our past contributes to the culture of us ‘All,’ not merely a ‘Few,’ and it speaks of our future, our hopes and aspirations as a people.

“Fiction fiction,” is not just a one post tale to tell. While I will be making posts expanding on the story over time, in the form of chapters maybe twice a month, this is by far no simple bed-time story, but more a book or novel that will grow and mature over the next few months. It is my deepest hope that it is received well by all, that is sheds light on some very important subjects (like why ‘Billy’s’ is an aftermath, and why nothing much remains of ‘camp phoenix’), and that it helps our newcomers to understand there place in this endless battle of ours.

… but in the end, it’s not my story. It’s OUR story. It’s OUR history and OUR tale. For good or for bad, it belongs to us all.

Regards,
ToolMan.
